Regina’s Mark McMorris will look to add another medal to his Olympic collection when he travels to Beijing to compete in his third Winter Games as part of Canada’s snowboard big air and slopestyle team.
“It’s an amazing feeling to qualify for my third Olympic Games,” said McMorris in the Canada Snowboard release announcing the team. “I can’t wait to go to Beijing and compete on Canada’s behalf. I’m really looking forward to it.”
McMorris has won back-to-back bronze medals in men’s slopestyle at the 2014 and 2018 Olympics and finished the men’s big air competition in 10th place in PyeongChang in 2018.
Regina’s Adam Burwell will be accompanying the team as a coach for the big air and slopestyle events.
The snowboard events are scheduled to take place February 5-11.
