The board is set. Sixteen teams will compete in the Mixed Doubles Curling Trials December 28 to January 2 in Portage La Prairie, MB for the right to represent Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Saskatchewan will have three connections to teams at the Trials, including Saskatoon’s Nancy Martin (Tyrell Griffith), Regina’s Kirk Muyres (Laura Walker) and Regina’s Catlin Schneider (Shannon Birchard).
The Martin/Griffith team qualified for the Trials in early 2021, while the other two teams recently earned their spots based on their Curling Mixed Doubles Rankings.
All three teams will compete as part of Pool A and will get their first taste of action in Draw 2 on opening day, Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 11:30 a.m. Sask time.
