Wheelchair racer Jessica Frotten will make her Paralympic debut when she heads to Tokyo for the Games at the end of August.
Frotten —who was born in Whitehorse, but lives and trains out of Regina— was one of 16 athletes named to Canada’s Para athletics team.
She’ll be competing in the T53 class in the 100-metre, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m races and 4x100m relay event.
Regina’s Carla Nicholls will also be attending the Games as member of the Para athletics coaching staff.
