Lisa Borgerson’s athlete finishes 42nd

Competition wrapped up for Rockglen coach Lisa Borgerson at the Olympics as her athlete Lynda Kiejko —Canada’s lone shooting athlete—finished the women’s 25-metre air pistol qualifier round in 42nd place.

Kiejko’s 283 points earned in Day 7’s Rapid round were added to her 281 points in Day 6’s Precision round for a grand total of 564.

Olympic/Paralympic notes: Read the full Day 7 recap at Olympic.ca…Janine Beckie, who has ties to Saskatchewan, and the Canadian women’s soccer team advanced to the semifinals after defeating Brazil in penalty kicks…The Canadian women’s eight-woman rowing crew earned Canada its third gold medal…Canada’s medal count is now at 11 (three gold, three silver and five bronze).
