Ticket for Milano Cortina 2026 on the hog line

The time to determine which team will represent Canada at Milano Cortina 2026 has arrived, with the Canadian Curling Trials taking place Nov. 22-30, in Halifax. 

The nation’s top eight women’s and men’s teams will compete for a berth that will secure their ticket to the Olympic Games in Italy. Following a seven-game round robin, the top three teams will advance to the playoffs, with the second- and third-place teams meeting in a semifinal. The winner will move on to a first-of-its-kind best-of-three final. 

Saskatoon will have two men’s teams attending, with Team Kleiter: Rylan Kleiter (skip), Joshua Mattern (third), Matthew Hall (second), Trevor Johnson (lead) and coach Dean Kleiter, as well as Team McEwen: Mike McEwen (skip), Colton Flasch (third), Kevin Marsh (second), Dan Marsh (lead), Brent Laing (alternate) and Pat Simmons as coach. 

In addition, Regina’s Ben Hebert will be joining Team Jacobs as lead. 

Meanwhile on the women’s side, Shannon Birchard, who resides in Regina will be joining Team Einarson as their second and Norquay’s Shannon Kleibrink will be coaching Team Skrlik.
