Canada qualifies in wheelchair curling

Team Canada has earned a berth in wheelchair curling for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.

Skip/third Gilbert Dash, who hails from Kipling, earned a bronze medal at the 2025 World Wheelchair Curling Championship, in Stevenston, Scotland, alongside Jon Thurston (fourth), Douglas Dean (second), Collinda Joseph (lead) and Chrissy Molnar (fifth). Team Canada claimed a 4-2 victory over Slovakia, earning top qualification points.

The athletes who will represent Canada as the curling team at Milano Cortina will be determined at a later date.
