In honour of 50 days till the Paralympic Games, the Canadian Paralympic Committee launched the “IGNITE the Lights Across Canada”, campaign. On July 9, over 50 landmarks and buildings across the country will feature vibrant coloured lights, including four locations in Saskatchewan.
- The Orbs (Saskatoon)
- Prairie Wind Sculpture (Saskatoon)
- Regina City Hall
- Saskatoon City Hall
The igniting of the lights will take place at sunset in each of the locations.
Depending on the location, the illuminations will occur in one or more of the following colours: red (national pride), violet (colour commonly associated with disability and inclusivity) and gold (denotes strength).
