Humbolt’s Jacob Wassermann is making his Paralympic debut with Canada’s Para rowing team for the 2024 Paris Paralympics in August.
Two years after being introduced to the sport, Wassermann qualified Canada a spot in Paris after earning silver in the PR1 men’s single category at the PR1 M1x event in Rio de Janerio. Only the top finisher earned a quota spot for their country, but through quota reallocation Canada received the spot.
Para rowing will take place from August 30 – September 1, with Wassermann competing in the men’s PR1 single sculls.
