Sask Proud is a movement honouring Saskatchewan and its amateur sport community — the athletes, coaches, officials and staff that represent Saskatchewan at events across the province, country and globe. In 2020, this campaign will document their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Games while applauding their achievements and encouraging everyone to “Cheer on Sask.” in Tokyo.
Sask Proud is made possible through contributions from the following organizations:
Sask Sport is a non-profit organization and the federation for amateur sport in Saskatchewan. Its membership consists of more than 70 provincial and multi-sport sport organizations and districts that deliver a wide range of programs and services to amateur sport organizations and teams. Every year, this network creates positive and inclusive experiences for athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers across the province. It contributes to healthy, vibrant communities and encourages participants of all ages and abilities — including high-performance athletes competing nationally and internationally — to challenge themselves, have fun and pursue their dreams.
Saskatchewan Lotteries is the provincial marketing organization for Western Canada Lottery Corporation products in Saskatchewan. Since 1974, it has been operated by Sask Sport. Through an agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan, proceeds from Saskatchewan Lotteries are dedicated to sport, culture and recreation organizations to benefit communities throughout the province. Today, the Saskatchewan Lotteries fundraiser benefits more than 12,000 organizations in communities big and small across the province.
The Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan is a proud member of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute (COPSI) Network. The COPSI Network provides world-leading training environments to elite athletes and coaches across Canada. The team of experts delivers sport science and medicine, coaching, research and innovation, education and Game Plan services to power podium performances and help Canada win more medals. The COPSI Network includes four Canadian Sport Institutes (Pacific, Calgary, Ontario and Quebec) and three Canadian Sport Centres (Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Atlantic).
