Canada’s athletics and boxing teams have been announced for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games and four athletes with Saskatchewan ties have made the cut.
Following the Bell Track and Field Olympic and Paralympic Trials in Montreal, from June 26-30, Saskatoon’s Michelle Harrison and Borden’s Savannah Sutherland, who both compete in sprinting and hurdles, along with pole vaulter Anicka Newell —who has familial ties in Saskatoon— each qualified their spot for Paris.
Athletics events will take place from August 2 to 10 (Days 7 to 15) in Paris.
