Priddell, Carroll and Crozon to represent Canada in Paris

Three Saskatchewan athletes were announced on Monday for two Canadian teams headed for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, including artistic swimmers Kenzie Priddell and Sydney Carroll as well as 3×3 women’s basketball player Paige Crozon.

Regina’s Priddell made her first appearance at Tokyo 2020 as an alternate but will be attending Paris 2024 as part of the starting lineup and as co-captain of the team.  Joining Priddell is Saskatoon’s Carroll, making her Olympic debut with Canada as the team’s alternate.

The duo helped Canada qualify for the Games at the World Aquatic Championships earlier this year.

Seven other athletes will be joining the pair in representing Canada in artistic swimming, which will compete August 5-10 (Days 10-15) at the Aquatics Centre in Paris.

Meanwhile, Paris will not only mark the Olympic debut of Humboldt’s Crozon, but will also mark the first time Canada has had a 3×3 basketball team compete in the Games.

Crozon, along with teammates Katherine and Michelle Plouffe, as well as Kacie Bosch finished in third place at the last-chance qualifier in May to help Canada claim the Olympic berth.

The 3×3 basketball competition will take place July 30 to August 5 (Days 4-10).
